Connect & Recharge 2025 – Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all companies and or persons or other entities (“You”) that are attending the Event Connect & Recharge 2025 (“Event”) organised by Dr Becki Taylor-Smith Coaching (“We” or “Us”). Please ensure you have read and understand the following:

  1. Acceptance of terms and conditions

By completing the registration form for a particular event, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below (“Terms”) and they will be incorporated into the contract between us (“Contract”). The Contract is formed when we send you a booking confirmation.

We reserve the right, in our absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons, to refuse to accept a booking. In such circumstances no agreement arises and we will return any payment accompanying the booking.

  1. Payment

A non-refundable deposit and the remaining balance will be due by the dates specified in your email communication with and/or invoice from us.

We reserve the right to cancel the agreement in the event that the retreat fees are not paid by the agreed time.

Bookings made within 8 weeks of the event start date must be accompanied by payment in full, unless payment by instalments is agreed.

  1. Cancellation by you

If the booking is cancelled by You (for any reason) the following cancellation charge will arise:

a) Cancellation more than 12 weeks before the start date, the deposit is forfeited.

b) Cancellation 6-12 weeks before the start date, 50% of the fee is payable.

c) Cancellation within 6 weeks of the start date, 100% of the fee is payable.

You acknowledge that it is reasonable for such penalties to arise given the need for Us to make preparations and investments for the retreat substantially in advance of the date of the event.

  1. Cancellation/alteration of retreat by Us

The Event is at the mercy of natural variables, including the weather. Whilst every reasonable effort is made to deal with such contingencies there may be occasions when we, through no fault of our own, are forced to cancel an Event before it starts at short notice.

In these circumstances you will be offered a retreat on a rescheduled date, or the return of monies paid relating to that specific retreat.

Acknowledging acceptance of these “Terms and Conditions” implies that You accept and understand that there are hazards involved in this kind of retreat, including injury, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience, and discomfort. The outline itineraries given for the Event must therefore be taken as an indication of what activities may be undertaken, and not as a contractual obligation on the part of Us.

Changes in itinerary may be caused by local or national restrictions, weather, sickness, or other unforeseeable circumstances.

It is a fundamental condition of joining the Event that You accept this flexibility, and acknowledge that delays and alterations and their results, such as inconvenience, discomfort, or disappointment, are possible: We will always endeavour to provide suitable alternative arrangements.

You acknowledge that information about retreats provided by Us is given in the best of faith but that because of the variability of nature it may be reasonable to alter or modify a retreat and that in such circumstances it is not reasonable for Us to be liable for any losses consequential on such a change and that Our liability is limited accordingly.

The Event benefits from the presence of a critical number of persons. If We, in our absolute discretion and without need to give reasons, determine that a critical number will not be present We reserve the right to cancel the Event at short notice. In these circumstances You will be offered the return of monies paid or the opportunity to join the Event on a subsequent date.

In return for Us undertaking to give the maximum amount of notice that circumstances allow, You accept that We are not liable for any losses arising as a result of cancellation or alteration.

We shall notify you of any cancellation or postponement of an Event or change to venue by emailing the email address that you provided on the registration form for the Event and it is your responsibility to advise us of any change to your email address. We shall not be liable for any loss you suffer (such as travelling to the Event) arising out of you failing to see our email about any cancellation, postponement or change of venue.

  1. Expectations and physical ability

You must expect to be involved in outdoor activities. No previous experience is required but You must be of good general health. Any medical conditions must be declared on the booking form which must be completed and returned on confirmation of booking.

We can take no responsibility in the event of any ailment or aggravation of ailment suffered either during or after the programme that arises from an undeclared injury or illness. If you have any disability or medical condition that requires us to make special arrangements for you or any special dietary requirements, please email us at as soon as possible and in any event at least 6 weeks prior to the date of the Event.

  1. Your obligations

You agree to submit to the reasonable instructions and leadership of the Event leader. If you act in any way, which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the Event, you will be required to leave the Event and we shall not be liable to refund your Registration Fee or any other payment. We will not be liable for any losses so resulting.

You must comply at all times with the health and safety policy of the venue. You must comply with all requests from Us or the venue with regard to health and safety and failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the event (in which case no refund will be provided). You may not bring any equipment or items of a hazardous or dangerous nature to the Event.

You shall not cause any damage to any part of the venue (including outside areas, and all inside walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings). You are solely liable for any damage caused by You to any such area of the venue and shall fully reimburse us in relation to any damage so caused.

You must keep your personal belongings with you or locked away at all times and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to the Event by you.

You shall be responsible for making and paying for your own travel arrangements to and from the Event. If you are late at the Event or prevented from attending the Event due to travel delays or any other circumstances, we shall not be obliged to provide you with a refund or to wait to start the Event until you arrive.

If you are invited to lead a collaborative workshop at the event you understand that payment is offered in the form of testimonials and photographs for use in your own marketing thereafter.

  1. Liability

The Event takes place in open countryside and areas which by their very nature are not absolutely free from hazard. Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken by us to ensure security and safety at the event, we shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you whatsoever in relation to the Event, save that nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, any fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability for which it is unlawful to exclude or limit liability.

Our total liability for any matter arising out of the Contract shall in all circumstances be limited to the price paid by you for the Event and we shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.

You acknowledge that by joining the retreat in the host country, Our responsibility does not commence until the appointed meeting time.

We shall not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by You to meet up with the group if You do not arrive at the appointed rendezvous.

You acknowledge that other loss, damage and expense (including, without limitation, loss of money, loss or damage to clothes and possessions, losses arising on the cancellation of a booking and the expenses of delay and harm caused other than by the negligence of Us, howsoever arising is not the responsibility of Us that Our liability is hereby limited.

You agree that we may include your details in any promotional materials relating to the Event and/or any materials used at the Event. We are not liable for errors or omissions contained in such information. You may use such materials for your own purposes only and may not reproduce, publish or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use. We reserve the right to change the published programme (including the publicised speakers) or materials as we think fit.

  1. Photography and filming

We may wish to photograph or film the Event and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future events or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the Event) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the Event with you. You may take photographs (but not film) of the Event.

  1. Data protection

We will communicate with you using the contact details provided on the Registration Form for the purposes of the Event and will otherwise use and process your personal data as set out in our Privacy Notice that you can view at

  1. Complaints

In the unlikely event that You have cause for complaint about the retreat, complaint should be made to a representative during the event, in order that corrective action can, if necessary, be taken.

You acknowledge that it is unreasonable to take no action during a retreat but to complain later. However, should a problem not be resolved, complaint should be made in writing within 28 days.

To the extent permitted by law We will not be liable in respect of claims first intimated later than 28 days from the close of the relevant retreat.
